It all began on the streets of north west london, At the age of 16 icarus first started listening to Drum&Bass and bought his first set of turntables. Highly influenced by the u.k Drum&Bass scene around him and going to numerous raves around london, he quickly picked up the art of mixing and blending and started playing out at events around the u.k.


In 2010, icarus moved back to his hometown Durban, South Africa. Since then he has played consistently at every major club in Durban, Including a residency at the monumental Origin nightclub.


In 2011, icarus went on tour to the u.k in december and supported the likes of Friction,Black sun empire, Ed solo, Icicle, Sigma,Fresh(u.k), OneMan, Deekline and many more. 


Locally, Icarus has played Splashy fen, Ramfest, 4U Rage Festival, G & G Events, Cirque De Electro, Tron and supported major artist that have played in durban over the past couple of years including: Pendulum, Die Antwoord, Nymfo, Netsky, Drumsound&Bassline smith, Sebastien leger, Mark Knight, to name a few.
