Kallisto (Tayla Rowell) is a drum n bass DJ from Durban also known for her role in female DnB duo, Bear Girls.

Acquiring a passion for music through artists such as Radiohead, Tayla took to the drums at a young age, joining bands along the way and growing her knowledge in music. 
She discovered her love for drum n bass at one of the first underground DnB parties featuring Niskerone, hosted by Durban's Uber Cool Events.

In 2011 She began DJ'ing alongside best friend, Heidi Bosshard in Durbans first female duo, Bear Girls. Bear Girls smashed up dancefloors at venues such as Origin, Splashy Fen and Arcade Empire(PTA), they also had the privilege in sharing the stage with South Africa's best names such as Niskerone, Das Kapital, Veranda Panda, Night Vision, Haezer and Spoek Matahambo, as well
as international names such as Pendulum, Drumsound & Basslinesmith, Nymfo and Netsky.

Kallisto has recently taken on this solo project with a step in a diffrenet direction- Going for heavier drums, darker basslines and downright dirtier drum n bass. 
She has now acclaimed residency at one of SA's best clubs, Origin.
